OIL-WATER SEPARATORS
- SMALL
MACSEP’s range of small oil-water separators are manufactured to order and as such can be tailored to suit a client’s specific requirements or specific operating conditions.

MACSEP manufactures and distributes its own proprietary range of small oil separators (the MACSEP range). There are currently five models which range in range in size from 1,500 litres/hour to 10,000 litres/hour.
CURRENT MACSEP RANGE OF SMALL OIL-WATER SEPARATORS
The standard material of construction for MACSEP oil-water separators is stainless steel grade 316/2B. If the oil-water separator is to be installed in a highly corrosive environment or subject to high chlorides in the influent, then an alternative grade of stainless steel such as grade 2205 should be considered.
MACSEP manufactures two standard ranges of small oil-water separators. MACSEP can modify these standard units or manufacture bespoke units to suit a client’s specific requirements or specific operating conditions.

MACSEP Power Series Oil-Water Separators
The MACSEP Power Series range of small oil water separators were first introduced in early 2009 and replaced earlier models of SEPA small oil water separators sourced from Australia.
The MACSEP Power Series range of oil-water separators have been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the power industry in New Zealand, and in particular to treat oil contaminated storm water, which collects in transformer bunded areas at substations and small power stations.
The MACSEP Power Series range of small oil-water separators have three (3) levels of protection to prevent oil entering the environment in the case of a major oil spillage.
The MACSEP Power Series range of small oil-water separators have also been used in other industrial applications where oil contaminated stormwater or process waste-water was an issue.
The MACSEP Power Series oil-water separators are supplied with the pump and control cubicle already mounted, wired and tested and as such are really a “plug and play” solution.
MACSEP also manufactures a ‘frost protected” version of its Power Series oil-water separators. The frost protection includes heat tracing of the separator tank, pump and suction pipework, 50 mm closed cell fire-resistant foam insulation with 316 SS cladding and associated controls and alarms.

MACSEP Trade Waste Series Oil-Water Separators
While MACSEP Power Series oil water separators are often used for trade waste applications, MACSEP also designs and manufactures a range of Trade Waste Oil-Water Separators.
The internal configuration (and therefore performance) of the Trade Waste Series Oil-Water Separators is similar to that of the Power Series Oil-Water Separators. Typically, the external frame design of Trade Waste Oil-Water Separators is simpler, and the pump and control cubicles are supplied as separable items.
MACSEP can modify the configuration of the Trade Waste Series oil-water separators to suit a particular application. For example, where higher than normal solids loading are expected, plate spacing may be increased or the direction of flow may be changed to up flow rather than down flow.
